This is the sales copy you're greeted with when you go to PaidSurveysOnline.com.
PSO has been enormously successful online and is a top producer in Clickbank, the main source for the selling of digital products and information. Given this, you'd expect a good product. You'd be disappointed. The ins and outs of paid surveys are covered in another article (here), but suffice to say, you plunk down $34.95 of your hard-earned day job cash for a link to a list of companies for which you can sign up to do surveys, and in rare cases, focus groups. Almost immediately, I discovered something wrong as the "instant $25 survey" was no where to be found and emails went unresponded to. On the other hand, most of the links seemed to be up to date, although some took some hunting to find the appropriate page. Unfortunately, a VAST MAJORITY of the companies involved would pay you absolutely nothing or pittances with strings attached. PSO's ad copy was hideously misleading in this regard. The bonuses that were advertised were of little to no value (certainly no $74.85 worth) as they were full of bad links and misinformation. Upon further investigation I discovered that the people who run this site were actually getting affiliate commissions for recommending people to other advertising sites. So instead of being an unbiased source of information - for which I paid! - PaidSurveysOnline.com was just another untrustworthy affiliate marketing scam. Given this, I wondered why they had such a reputation with Clickbank. The reason? They pay out 75% commissions! Affiliate marketers who care nothing for quality or customer service sign up under this group thinking that at least a few will not bother to return it. The affiliate marketer who suckered me into this got no such satisfaction. Even beyond the type of work being anathema to the right-brain dominant person, this particular program is one to AVOID. Feeling a little stubborn? Want to see for yourself? Fine. Don't say I didn't warn you. Better to skip this entirely and try something that works. At least read up on how to cut through all the BS in ad copy here. |
