O.K. folks. This one's going to be short and sweet. I tried Wordtracker.com on a recommendation in Perry Marshall's Google Adwords ebook (reviewed here). He claimed it was more productive than the free Yahoo/Overture keyword tool.
Well, as far as I can tell, that's true. Unfortunately, the tool is a left-brain monstrosity filled with ROI and CTR and a mess of other acronyms. In short, I'm sure it's a good tool (I could tell it was fast and had several options), but for the right-brainer, it's probably more than one needs. It also tilts toward the expensive with a single day's access running you $7.00. Longer contracts run less per day (I originally signed up for a month for about $50), but on the whole, it's pretty pricey unless you're practically living and dying by your keywords. The company has a no-questions-asked refund policy. As you may have inferred, I asked. They refunded. |
